Stakelogic BV has agreed to a £122,835 ($161,725) settlement with the UK Gambling Commission following an investigation into slot game timing violations. The software provider self-reported the issue after discovering that several of its titles operated faster than the regulatory standard allows.
The inquiry originated with the title Tiger Temple 88, which ran with a 1.97-second cycle time. This duration breached the Responsible Product Design Remote Technical Standard 14D, which mandates a minimum 2.5-second interval between game cycles. Upon further testing of its UK portfolio, the company identified 15 additional games with similar timing discrepancies.
Investigation Findings and Causes
Timing shortfalls ranged from 0.001 seconds to 0.675 seconds below the required limit. The regulator attributed these errors to the company’s reliance on a manual stopwatch for speed verification. John Pierce, Director of Enforcement and Intelligence at the Gambling Commission, stated that using manual measurement tools is unacceptable given the technological resources available to online gambling businesses.
Tiger Temple 88 operated outside compliance between 28 May 2025 and 30 May 2025. The remaining titles showed intermittent failures between 31 October 2021 and 30 October 2025. The regulator cited the delayed suspension of Tiger Temple 88 and the slow pace of the internal product review as aggravating factors. Conversely, the voluntary removal of all games from the Great Britain market and full cooperation with the investigation were recognized as mitigating circumstances.
