Colorado’s sports betting market recorded a $469 million handle for May 2026, representing a 2.63% year-over-year increase. The Colorado Department of Revenue’s Division of Gaming published the figures alongside updated fiscal year totals.
Cumulative wagers for the current fiscal year now stand at $6.02 billion, up 1.58% from the same period last year. Tax revenue reached $3.86 million in May alone, bringing the fiscal year total to $44.6 million. This marks a 32.22% year-over-year growth in collected taxes.
Regulatory Oversight and Player Resources
Division of Gaming director Christopher Schroder stated that the agency continues to monitor market expansion while preserving regulatory standards. "As sports betting in Colorado continues to show growth, the Division of Gaming remains committed to maintaining the integrity of gaming in Colorado," Schroder said. Officials recommend that participants use built-in responsible gaming features, such as session timers and wager caps.
